Some of us spend years in psychotherapy, attending workshops, listening to tapes and CDs, watching videos, attending church, etc. trying to understand the time we were hurt last, rather than healing the first time we were wounded. We are told ” . . . how you think is how you feel.” We are told ” . . . what you believe about what you think is who you are.” These responses come from the hypothesis that thoughts precede feelings. In truth, thoughts precede emotions!
