BACKGROUND: Deborah Akbar grew up in New York and later moved to California. At age 17 she went into the military to get money for college. By 23, she was divorced, a single mom and disabled due to a horrific car accident near Fort Eustis, Va., in 1990 from which she awoke after a three day coma to be told she was a C-7 C-8 quadriplegic and would never do more than blink!

Deborah did not and has not let that define her. She went back to college, met her future husband in the middle of a spiritual journey, has had her 2nd child and took herself off prescription Drugs in 2005.

Today Deborah does voiceovers, YouTube’s and is starting a foundation
