My mind told me to check one last thing – how the ping.fm was effecting the Wordbook plugin.  And lo’ and behold there was an error message.
Only thing is, the information did get across, however it didn’t show up in the place it initially did, nor did it have the Wordpress Icon image next to [...]

I’m feeling confident I have figured this out.  I doubt I’ll be sending status or micro-blogging from Wordpress to the other sites.  I can use ping.fm for that.
so with that in mind, I unchecked status and micro-blogs from the pingpress.fm settings here in Wordpress.
Here we go.  wish me luck!
